The package is crawling from Hodgkins thus it can't make it to the next scan.

Probably. I don't know why I'm so pissy about this. Last time I ordered from the same company, I got one check in, I believe, Michigan, and didn't get another scan until it was in Brewer, ME (about 20 minutes away from my house and the last stop before delivery). I even called to ask and they explained they don't scan at every checkpoint.

My computer wass sent this way. It was disbatched from West Branch (30 minutes away) at 5 am. They showed at my door at 7 pm. What do you do for 14 hours in Middle of Nowhere Michigan?

If it's any help, L. L. Bean's packages are almost all at a standstill, and have been for the past three days. They're anticipating major storm issues, so they're putting all the order-fulfillin' folks on a temporary forced vacation.

Hey, do you think you could help me get a job there? Isn't their application online now?
chaoticsetchaoticset on March 4th, 2007 05:42 am (UTC)
Their app is online, but they're laying people off right now...I don't think they'd be looking at hiring part-timers again for a while, simply because they've got a pile of seasonals to draw off of.

But.

They've changed their employee-having process quite a bit recently, so I might be wrong about that -- it may be that when the later Spring catalogs hit, they're going to need help again and they might hire again then.

Plus, I'd be perfectly happy to put in a good word for you, and if you need rides to work sometimes, I'd be happy to help you with it. If you wish to set up a regular carpooly nominal-amount-of-cash-for-rides thing, I would be on that too. *hugs*

You've reminded me …

*goes to look at her own AG package, which isn't a doll but she's still excited about*

What do you know! Mine's in Oak Creek too! Well, hell, if Claire finds my package, tell her she's welcome to play with Jess' guitar.

I got my tagalong one that came by itself straggling like that. Stupid box. SCAN MAH SHIT AND SEND IT ON.

FYI in my experience they won't scan it again until it reaches the destination office. So it may still be moving, they're just not nice enough to tell you.

Heey, I hope you don't mind that I added you to my friends list. Usually I just add people and never say anything, but I realized that might be a little creepy. Especially since, aside from that one hyperspeed conversation about Heroes in ag_over_18, you probably have no idea who I am. But that, added to my enjoyment of reading your other posts in that community, has led me to believe I'd like to add your journal.

This has come out sounding way too formal, sorry. I'm currently bewildered about Hiro's latest blog entry. He(presumably future Hiro?)'s gone all emo and spouting weird metaphors in some sort of Zen/Japanese poetry style at us! And talking about looking for a flower. I wish I were such a 'flower'. But alas, in a show where they like puns enough to name a hero 'Hiro', this flower is probably 'Hana' (though she's about as far from a delicate flower as anyone I've seen...) Have you seen it?

Sure, I don't mind if folks add my LJ. I actually very rarely update my LJ, so just keep that in mind. ^_^;

I don't read Hiro's blog, but while making my Heroes fanvid, I saw something I've been wondering about: why was Mohinder so afraid of Bennet when he was in his cab, when he didn't seem so afraid of him when he came to see him later?
Furuparzi on March 13th, 2007 04:29 am (UTC)
Frankly, Mohinder's characterization kind of bewilders me. At the beginning he seemed to switch between 'people don't have super powers my father was on a wild goose chase' and 'this is all real and I will continue his work' with no real warning. I gave up on him long ago, as much as I was excited at first to see a good looking Indian man on TV. Maybe I should have paid more attention, though. I did rather like him in the last episode.

I don't update my lj much either...or rather, I'll go through weeks like this one where I'll write every other day, then go for two months where I post nothing but random quizes and memes. Still, thanks for not caring that I added you and adding me back.
A Guy Named Goo: Peter and Claire Name by zuppitaguynamedgoo on March 13th, 2007 05:09 am (UTC)
I have to say, I wouldn't really care if Mohinder kicked off. For a scientist, he is remarkably stupid sometimes, and his method of problem solving seems to be to talk at the problem. See also: how he handled Sylar. He cared more about talking about his own personal problems than taking out a serial killer and saving people he claimed he was out to warn and protect, and when he finally took the shot, it was too late. Plus he's cold-calling these people, expecting them to jump and want to talk to him when he sounds totally nuts, but when one person finally comes to him claiming to have powers, he writes him off as crazy and sends him packing.
