Blogathon 2006

This year is the fifth annual international Blogathon, a 24 hour event to raise money for charity. It is to be held on Saturday, July 29th. Bloggers must post every half hour for the day, and collect pledges for their respective charities based either on the whole day or the hour (based on the sponser's discretion).

This year, I am throwing my hat in the ring and joining my platonic soulmate, trollopfop, who is a Blogathon veteran, in participating. So what does this have to do with Rent? Well, I'm getting to that.

I am blogging for the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation, while Ana is blogging for the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission. During our time, I will be posting on my personal LJ WGOO radio, a radio show complete with five songs per half hour (randomly chosen from my playlist) and audio commentary from me. Sponsors will get an opportunity to submit "radio spots", where I will publicly thank them, plug anything of theirs that they want, or give any shout-outs that they want given. Ana has entered with hir writing journal, pocketfic, and is offering sponsors one piece of writing that they request.

We both really need pledges, as these are both good causes. Visit their sites to learn more about them, and if you are interested in pledging, visit here for me or here for Ana. Thanks in advance, and wish us luck!
