Last Birthday Present!  
Yesterday my friends came over for some belated birthday festivities, and presented me with this, as shown off by Rose (I am probably going to cut her hair today. I've been trying to get up the gumption/nerve to do it):

I originally tried to pose her so her hand covered Martha's face on the cover, but she wouldn't stay put, so I kinda posed her like the dolls with their meet books in the catalog images from American Girl. :P

Rose's hair is very shiny. Is that a Julie thing?

Yeah, it is. Her hair actually wasn't as bright blonde as I was expected, but it's very very sleek and shiny. It's not really thin, but very slick and slips through your fingers like water. That's part of the reason why I'm worried about cutting it: it either has the potential to be a lot easier to cut than the last doll whose hair I cut or a lot harder. (If I screw it up, I have a wig to rewig her and make S2!Rose, but I'd like to try to preserve her hair.)

Wow.
I think cutting it will still be fine, but I recommend getting it quite damp, maybe even with a warmer water.
