Cookies!
The fact that "cookies" is one of the one hundred most common words on my LJ is kind of frightening. Anyway, I made the Neiman Marcus cookies at work today. We have to call them "$250 Recipe Cookies" for legal purposes, but they are really, really good. And I figured I'd post the recipe I used, because I'm nice and fruity like that.

Warning: this recipe makes a lot of cookies. We make our cookies 3oz each (which is huge) and we made four dozen. So you may want to halve it. This is exactly the recipe we used, though.

2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
2 cups sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal**
24 oz. chocolate chips
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

** measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.

We blended the oatmeal and chocolate bar in a food processor (not together). Also, I suggest whisking together the flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking sode ahead of time so you don't have to wait as long for it to mix. For nuts, we used pecans, which were really good in this recipe. The cookies were very chocolatey.
